2019 Holiday Drive

Join the New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association in two drives this holiday season to families and senior citizens in need.

NHWBA will be providing Thanksgiving Baskets to Families in Transition / New Horizons in Manchester for distribution. You can either assemble a basket yourself or build one or more with your office or firm.

Each basket should provide a Thanksgiving meal for 5 to 8 people. We recommend purchasing laundry baskets to fill with food. Suggested items to include in your basket:

Basket

Turkey

Stuffing

Vegetables (canned or fresh)

Cranberry Sauce

Gravy

Dessert/Mixes

Nuts

Bread

Tablecloths

Utensils

Napkins

Gift Cards

Crackers

Greeting card signed by you/group

(There is ample cold storage available to hold all of your donations)

In addition, please join us in creating a Shoebox Care Package for senior citizens through the United Way of Greater Nashua. Items will be delivered through Meals-on-Wheels and The Caregivers. Suggested items for seniors include:

Mouth Wash

Denture Cream and/or Cleaner

Coffee

Baby wipes

Adult diapers

Pens/Pencils

Post-it-Notes

Tissues

Greeting Cards

Shampoo

Lotions

Lip Balms

Soap

Snack Food

Deodorant

Socks

Stamps and/or Envelopes

Puzzles and/or Books

Gloves/Hats/Scarves

Playing Cards

Adult Coloring Books and/or Markers

Drop off your basket and/or care package on November 19th or November 20th before 5:00PM.

Drop off locations include:

Hage Hodes, PA, 1855 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03104

Gallagher, Callahan, & Gartrell, 214 N. Main Street, Concord, NH 03302

Wolfson & Bernazzani, PLLC, 30 Temple Street, Suite 515, Nashua, NH 03060       

If you need to drop off your basket at another location, please contact us to make arrangements.

Whether you wish to donate a basket or not, you can also sign up to volunteer at New Horizons on Saturday, November 23rd to help distribute baskets. Available shifts include:

  1.         8:00 am to 11:00 am – Set up and get ready for distribution;
  2.         10:30 am to 2:00 pm – Help register people for delivery for Christmas OR Help with distribution
  3. 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm – Clean Up
