International Day of Women Judges Event Honors Afghan Judge Geeti Roeen, March 7, 2024 - An  evening reception was held at the 100 Club in Portsmouth, NH to honor the International Day of Women Judges. At the event, attendees were able to meet Judge Geeti Roeen and hear about women's rights and upholding the rule of law in Afghanistan, as well as her family's harrowing escape from the Taliban and resettlement in Manchester, NH. Welcome Ceremony Held January 4, 2024 - A ceremony was held in Hanover, NH to welcome Judges Anisa Rasooli, who has resettled in Vermont, and Geeti Roeen, who has resettled in New Hampshire. Representatives from the Supreme Courts of New Hampshire and Vermont, New Hampshire U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Vermont U.S. Representative Rebecca Balint, the NH Coalition for Resettlement of Afghan Women Judges, and many others participated.
