Women Run!: Workshop on Serving in State and Local Government

  • Thursday, December 05, 2019
  • 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
  • The Jefferson Mill (use the Clock Tower entrance), 670 N Commercial St, Manchester, NH 03101

Join the NHWBA and the New Hampshire Women's Foundation for a workshop with Women Run!, New Hampshire's only nonpartisan program empowering and training women to run for office.

Why should you attend?

1) Women are historically underrepresented in state and municipal offices in New Hampshire;
2) Women with legal training and professional experience interpreting laws and upholding due process bring a unique and essential set of skills to elected office; and
3) Experience with criminal and civil areas of practice and municipal law are all important skills for serving at the state and local level
At this event, you'll learn about running for office and hear from women who are attorneys serving at the local and statewide level.

State Representative Connie Lane of Concord (a graduate of the Women Run! program) and State Senator Donna Soucy of Manchester are scheduled to attend.

A networking reception will follow.
