We will be meeting over dinner (pay your own way) at Chuck’s BARbershop in Concord on Tuesday, August 20th at 5:30pm to discuss Brown White Black: An American Family at the Intersection of Race, Gender, Sexuality, and Religion by Nishta J. Mehra.

This book is a fast read that is a compilation of short essays. The book is described by the publisher as “a portrait of Nishta Mehra’s family: her wife, who is white; her adopted child, Shiv, who is black; and their experiences dealing with America's rigid ideas of race, gender, and sexuality."

Please RSVP to Caroline Leonard if you are interested.
