Complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be provided. Do you remember what it was like starting out as an attorney, whether hanging a shingle, or learning to navigate practice at a firm? Do you wish you would have had someone to turn to for those sticky questions and judgment calls? Were you lucky enough that you did? Topics addressed in this session will include:

- The importance of mentoring to the legal profession

- Common ethical issues faced by less experienced practitioners

- Practical Tips and Skills for Effective Mentoring

Attorneys who attend the entire program may enter 90 minutes (30 of which are ethics/professionalism minutes) of live credits into the NHMCLE Attorney Reporting Tool. The program will be followed by a social, during which participants may sign up for Session II, and indicate their preferences, if any, regarding mentoring topics they would like to discuss with UNH law students.
